Turning knowledge into petro-dollars

Turning knowledge into petro-dollars

We at MGC work a with client to turn knowledge into petro-dollars. We work with the client to address challenges, using a unique blend of skills, experience, knowledge and training.

We offer the client a bespoke, fit for purpose, tailor made solution, that will succeed and be sustainable in their organisation. We take their existing data, people, processes and technology and together identify the best solution for their challenge. In most cases, training, education and development of staff in technical, interpersonal and leadership skills is required to transform the team into highly motivated top flight performers. They must have the data and tools at their finger tips to achieve this, so that they can realise their full potential and maintain high safety standards. We assess what is required and develop the solutions with the staff, so they get what they need. In this way, knowledge is turned into petro-dollars.

Well Reservoir & Facility management

Well Reservoir & Facility management

Well, Reservoir and Facility Management is all about maximising production and reservoir recovery in a safe, sustainable, cost effective manner. For new and existing fields, it is fundamental for the short and long term profitability of your oil or gas field. If you can maximise production and injection every day, you will automatically maximise recovery.

However, this has to be done in a safe way, as this ensures your licence to operate. You need the capability and systems to make it sustainable for the long term. This includes developing local staff and a new generation of engineers.
It is important to realise that you need to spend money on managing your field, in order to make money for the business.

The WRFM value loop is a conveyor belt. It goes around at the speed of the slowest component.
Typically, the speed of the conveyor belt varies, depending on what it is used for.

Each cog is connected to the others, as the same data, assets and information is shared between the different processes. The conveyor belt connect data, people, processes and technology, which all need to be integrated.

Production System Optimisation

Production System Optimisation

Production System Optimisation is the process of optimising production on a day to day basis, from the reservoir to export.

It is not restricted to the production side of the system - it also applies to the injection side as well. Today’s injection will be tomorrow’s, or next month’s or next year’s production. The aim is to maximise production and injection every day, to maximise recovery and ultimately maximise your petro-dollars.

Production Technology

Production Technology

The Production Technologist’s mission is to design, construct, operate and maintain any well, so that it is safe for use from spud to abandonment, delivering maximum value to the business.

Production Technology is the discipline that integrates subsurface and surface in the oil and gas upstream industry.
Traditionally, Production Technologists are known as “Well Doctors”, as their focus area is the well. However, their remit extends from the reservoir, through the well into the production system and export. Over the years, the Production Technologist has taken centre stage in the development of Well, Reservoir and Facility Management and Production Optimisation. Therefore, Production Technology is a key element to maximising your petro-dollars.

Why Train

Why Train

Training is the starting point for a lot of people, on their quest for knowledge. Over the years, many people have tried to assess the value of training - and failed.

The reason is that training doesn’t start and stop in the classroom. Nowadays, people learn in many ways, but ultimately they need to apply their knowledge and skills in the workplace safely and reliably. Training, together with coaching, can kick start this process and accelerate an individual’s development, so that they can deliver more efficiently and effectively.
